Aeration can add beauty to a waterbody, increase water movement and be beneficial to water quality. Floating fountains come in many different patterns and improve the beauty of lakes and ponds. Combining lighting to these features can also provide eye pleasing features in the evening as well. Submersed aeration is another means for facilitating water movement in a lake or pond. With submersed aeration there is not the vertical spray pattern associated with floating fountains, but there is a significant benefit in disruption of thermal stratifaction in the waterbody. This can reduce hot zones in a lake or pond and improve water quality.
